А. Майкапар Concerning the peculiarities of the finale, the observation of K. Cerny is interesting: “This Allegro should definitely be performed faster and more brilliantly than the first movement. The eights with which the finale begins (in the piano part - AM) should be performed very easily and abruptly. It should be noted that in general, in Beethoven's works, some accompaniment figures that seem insignificant at first glance, that is, the notes whose purpose, as it were, to fill the void, acquire a completely different, deeper meaning, firstly, due to the position that they occupy in relation to to the melody, secondly, by the way they are developed in the future in the course of the music, and thirdly, by virtue of the interpretation by the performer, which strictly takes into account these grounds. And these eights at the beginning and onwards (bars 77–88) serve to create some exciting and very characteristic effects when other voices play the theme. ”
