Vasily Butrov is a researcher and performer of Russian traditional folklore, the founder and leader of the Historical-Ethnographic Club “White Stone”. He studied with folk craftsmen on the Pechora, in Pskov, on the Don and on Khopra. Vasiliy’s experience accumulated during 25 years of research and expeditions is passed on to students coming to the club. Behind the club are numerous performances at festivals, concerts, folk festivals and celebrations in Russia (“Udal Molodetskaya”, “Voinovo Pole”, “The Sword of Russia”, “Sholokhovskaya Spring”, the annual holiday of Kupala “VELESOV KRUGA” near Maloyaroslavets. Etc. ) and abroad - in Poland, Sweden and Germany. In addition, the club also recorded a disc with the same name. Studio “Slavic Sunrise” brings to your attention a solo project of the head of the club Vasily Butrov. The basis of this disc is the legend of the prince of Bodrich Borivoye, who crushed one of the crusades against the Western Slavs. Although this work is author's, it was created on the basis of the Russian folk manner of singing and the playing of the guitar, accompanied by bagpipes, a vargan and folk percussion instruments.
