(1) To all (its) time, and (its) term of every thing under heaven: (2) Time to be born and time to die; Time to plant and time to pull planted. (3) Time to kill and time to heal; Time to crack and time to build. (4) Time to cry and time to laugh; Time to grieve and time to dance. (5) Time to scatter stones and time to collect stones; Time to hug and time away from the hugs. (6) Time to seek and time to lose; Time to store and time to throw. (7) Time to rip and time to stitch; Time to be silent and time to talk. (8) Time to love and time to hate; Time to war and time to peace. (9) What is the use of the one who accomplishes because he is a laborer? (10) I saw the work that Gd gave to the sons of men in order to amuse themselves with it. (11) He created everything beautiful in his time, he even put eternity in their hearts, but in such a way that the work done by Gd could not be comprehended by man from beginning to end. (12) I learned that there is nothing better for him than to have fun and do good in his life. (13) And if anyone eats and drinks and sees good in his every work, this is the gift of God. (14) I learned: all that God is doing, it will be forever, can not be added to that and can not be subtracted; but he created God so that they would fear Him. (15) What was - this is, and what will be - has already happened; and Gd will exact the persecuted. (16) And I also saw under the sun: the place of judgment, and there - iniquity, a place of justice, and there - iniquity. (17) I said in my heart: the righteous and ungodly Gd will judge, for there (there is) time for every thing and every deed. (18) I said in my heart about the sons of men that I was distinguished by Gd (from other creatures), but I saw that they were cattle themselves. (19) For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of the cattle is one and the same fate: as with those who die, so also die; and the breath is one for all, and there is no superiority of man over cattle, for all is vanity. (20) Everything goes to one place; everything came from dust, and all shall return to dust. (21) Who knows whether the spirit of the sons of men ascends, and does the spirit of animals descend down to the ground? (22) And I saw that there is nothing better than to rejoice at the man’s own affairs, for this is his share. For who will bring him to look at what will happen after him?
