«The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR» словно распадается на мелкие кусочки, а затем собирается вновь в единое целое, как трансформер, каждый раз, принимая все новые и новые облики. Так и релиз – с каждым новым прослушиванием музыка словно трансформируется в различные формы, приобретает удивительные очертания, но с одной особенностью - каждый раз открываешь для себя что-то новое и такое чертовски приятное. Однозначно, это стопроцентный удавшийся реньюнион из цепочки всех последних реньюнионов. Альбом словно вдохнул в группу потрясающую энергетику и плодовитость – интересно надолго ли?
Музыканты продолжают играть по заданной схеме, которая была разработана уже очень давно: всё те же восточные мелодии с легким налетом симфонизма и увертывающихся фрагментов; всё тот же глубокомысленный и незабываемый гроулинг с прелестным чистоголосьем (причем, как женским, так и мужским); всё те же израильские корни; все та же легко узнаваемая колоритная перкуссия; всё тот же английский язык, правда, одна эпическая сказка всё-таки есть на иврите – вернее вступление, склеенное из мелодичных оркестровых аппликаций.
Кстати, отдельно надо высказаться и по поводу оформления – броский и заманчивый артворк, усердно навевающий мысли о каком-то архаичном стиле писания, использовавшимся несколько веков назад, выполненный с весьма яркоокрашенной религиозной подоплекой, уводящей нас в далекую историю древнего Иерусалима. Кому хочется подробностей – прошу заглянуть в буклет.
С особой теплотой я никогда не относилась к этой группе. Но всё рано или поздно меняется, порой перемены к лучшему, потому как помогают раскрыть всю ту глубину из монолитных оснований, которая была раньше скрытой и незаметной. И только спустя определенное время начинаешь осознавать непонятое, задумываться над этим и вникать.
Заметная современность звучания радует, что нет того особого плотного саунда старых работ, чрезмерной сухости материала и агрессии, а скорее льющаяся откровенно порхающая мягкость, пропитанная новизной - заметное преобразившееся звучание, причем явно в лучшую сторону. Настолько всё свежо и неоднозначно, что при прослушивании кажется, будто призма многогранности расслаивается, уступая место восточному колориту (настолько мною нелюбимого), лишь усиливавшему релиз своими плавными переходами, словно маслом смазанными. Материал оказался весьма мелодичным, очень неожиданным и разносторонним.

That is exactly what happened with Orphaned Land: having died once, having been frozen for such a long time, they are resurrected to issue a rather chilling and soulful release as a continuation of their work. We were asked to see, feel, and then listen to this album, thereby confirming that the unique people of the Israeli scene continue their march on the victorious front.
“The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR” seems to break up into small pieces, and then it is assembled again as a transformer as a transformer, each time taking on more and more new looks. And the release - with each new listening, the music seems to be transformed into various forms, it acquires amazing outlines, but with one peculiarity - every time you discover something new and so damn pleasant. Definitely, this is a 100% successful reunion from the chain of all the last reunion. The album as if breathed into the group an amazing energy and fertility - is it interesting for how long?
Musicians continue to play according to a predetermined scheme, which was developed a very long time ago: all the same oriental melodies with a slight touch of symphony and dodging fragments; all the same profound and unforgettable growling with an adorable chorogolos (and, both female and male); all the same Israeli roots; all the same easily recognizable colorful percussion; all the same English, however, one epic tale is still in Hebrew - or rather, an introduction, glued together from melodic orchestral applications.
By the way, it is necessary to speak separately about the design - a catchy and tempting artwork, diligently evoking thoughts of some archaic style of writing used several centuries ago, made with a very brightly colored religious background that led us to the distant history of ancient Jerusalem. Who wants the details - please look in the booklet.
With special warmth, I never belonged to this group. But everything changes sooner or later, sometimes a change for the better, because it helps to reveal all the depth from the monolithic bases that were previously hidden and invisible. And only after a certain time you begin to realize the misunderstood, to think about it and delve into it.
The noticeable modernity of the sound pleases that there is not that special dense sound of the old works, excessive dryness of the material and aggression, but rather a pouring frankly fluttering softness, saturated with novelty - a noticeable transformed sound, and obviously for the better. So everything is fresh and ambiguous, that when listening it seems that the prism of multifacetedness stratifies, giving way to oriental color (so unloved by me), which only strengthened the release with its smooth transitions, as if smeared with oil. The material was very melodic, very unexpected and versatile.
