The composition "Fiery Chariots" was included in the soundtrack of the 1981 film of the same name, the plot of which is based on the real story of two British athletes participating in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Harold Abrahams from England overcomes anti-Semitic and class prejudices in order to fight the "Flying Scotsman", missionary Eric Liddell, for winning the sprint by 100 meters.
The painting won two awards at the Cannes Film Festival, four Oscar awards, including Best Picture, three BAFTA awards and many other awards. The soundtrack for "The Fiery Chariots" was released on CDs, and the title theme from it has since been frequently used on television.
