(1) Do not hurry with your mouth, and let your heart not hurry to speak the word before Gd, for Gd is in heaven, and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be brief. (2) As a dream arises from a multitude of things, a fool's speech is from a multitude of words. (3) When you give a vow to Gd, do not be late with his fulfillment, for he does not favor (foolish) fools; that promised - execute. (4) It is better not to give a vow than to give and not to fulfill. (5) Do not let your mouth inject your flesh into sin, and do not say before the angel: "This is a mistake!" Why should Gd be angry over your word and destroy your handiwork? (6) For in a multitude of dreams there is a lot of fuss and words; but fear Gd. (7) If you see in the country the oppression of the poor, the perversion of judgment and justice, do not be surprised at this, for the higher is watching the highest, and the highest is above them. (8) But excellence is in everything in the country where the king serves the field! (9) He who loves money will not get enough money, and who loves wealth, there is no profit. And this is vanity. (10) The more good, the more eating it, and the owner of it - what is the benefit? Is that look with my own eyes. (11) The worker's sleep is sweet, you never know how much, he ate a lot, but he doesn’t sleep well with rich satiety. (12) I saw a painful affair under the sun, - wealth, kept in trouble for its owner! (13) And that wealth perishes under unfortunate circumstances; he begat a son, and he has nothing in his hands. (14) As he came out naked from his mother's womb, so he leaves, just as he came; and for his work he will not take away anything in his hand. (15) And this is a grave affliction: how he came, so it goes; and what good is it that he labored for the wind? (16) And he eats all his days in darkness, and he becomes angry a lot, and he has illnesses, and sorrows. (17) This is what I saw of the good - it is good to eat and drink, and to see good in my labors to those who work under the sun in the few days of their lives, which Gd gave him, for this is his share. (18) And any man to whom Gd gave wealth, and possessions, and the power to use them, and take his share, and rejoice in his labors, received the gift of Gd. (19) Let him remember how short the days of his life are, and that Gd answers him with the joy of his heart.
